Volunteering!
Volunteers are the core of the Southeast Alberta Regional Skills Canada
Competition. This event is made possible because of the commitment
and generosity of people who volunteer their time at the organizing
committee level, as judges during the competition, and as volunteers
at various levels during the competition. We welcome you to be a part
of this exciting venture.
April 29, 2010 is the 5th Annual Southeast Alberta Regional Skills
Canada Competition. This Olympic-style competition will see approximately
80-100 high school students compete against each other in a variety
of trade and technology related events. The gold medal winners will represent our region at the Annual Provincial competition in Edmonton on May 12 - 13, 2010 competing for provincial honours, as well as the opportunity to represent Alberta at the Annual Canadian Skills Competition in Waterloo, Ontario on May 20-23, 2010.
Regional Technical committees
Each of the events is overseen by volunteers from the private, government,
and educational sectors that have specific expertise in a particular
field. In most cases, the Technical Committees will consist of 3-5
individuals from education (secondary and post-secondary) and industry.
If you are interested in becoming involved with future competitions
and would like to be on a Regional Technical Committee, contact Sue
Feeney, Project Manager.
With your help, the Southeast Alberta Regional Skills Canada Competition
will continue to create experiences that benefit our youth. We thank
you, in advance, for considering to be a volunteer with our organization.
